Mail Box Services
Unique in Canada, this postal boxes service allows over 2000 person to have an address. They can receive mail, communicate with family, friends, health-care professionals or other social workers, and receive their welfare check. This postal stability facilitates the development and maintenance of social, personal and professional relations.
Objectives:
1) Facilitate social and economic reinsertion
2) Receive different messages: doctors, dentists, social workers, housing, family
3) Receive any other type of correspondence: taxes, GST, health insurance card, driver’s license, construction worker card, etc.
To obtain a mail box:
To obtain a mail box at Le Sac à Dos it is OBLIGATORY to first make a request at one of the 3 partnering Local Employment Centers below. Only an agent has the discretionary power to approve a request to open a mail box.

The person must present themselves to the Sac à Dos with the form Demande de casier postal, stamped by a welfare agent, and this, within 5 days of receiving the form.
